SUMMARY:THE FUGITIVES
DESCRIPTION:\n\nWe’re excited to be part of Everywhere At Once powered by The National Lottery this June.\nTaking place from 26-28 June, it’s the UK’s biggest music festival on your doorstep with 1000+ gigs, 400+ venues, 1 weekend.\nJoin us for a different kind of festival. Closer to the music. Where local matters. Where everyone belongs.\n\n\nCanadian indie-folk band The Fugitives are back with a new single, self-titled album and tour and will be playing Albert’s Shed on Sunday 28 June.\nThe Vancouver-based quartet were formed in 2005 and have released seven albums. Nominated for a JUNO ( https://stellasix.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=c38f8af2a55c18c7a814ae1c6&id=a7daa3a5ca&e=aca5d8a4f5 ) and seven Canadian Folk Music Awards, including Best Vocal Group, Best Ensemble, and Best Songwriter, they have toured heavily across Canada, the UK and the EU for two decades, as well as performed at Glastonbury and most major folk festivals. Described as the missing link between Leonard Cohen and The Pogues they bring brilliant musicianship, top-notch songwriting, complex vocal harmonies and a funny, uplifting vibe to their live performances. Canadian magazine Georgia Straight said: ‘Despite their all-acoustic lineup, The Fugitives bring enough energy to the stage to light up a small city.’\nThey were a huge hit when they played to a sell-out crowd at St Mary’s Church on election night 18 months ago.\nSupport will from talented singer/songwriter Vincent Whyte ( https://stellasix.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=c38f8af2a55c18c7a814ae1c6&id=8b3af2a0c7&e=aca5d8a4f5 ).\nPlease note, this is a seated event.\n\n \n \nAGE RESTRICTIONS\n
