Each week Nikki Rous takes us on a journey of musical discovery, showcasing the finest songwriting talents Shropshire has to offer. After six weeks of quality entertainment, Wednesday night at Albert’s Shed has become an unmissable event. At Albert’s Shed we champion original live music in Shropshire because we want to see more stars like Dan Owen coming from our county. Want to perform? Please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Millie May is a singer/songwriter based in Birmingham. She plays guitar and keys and would describe her style as atmospheric and quirky alternative pop.
Some of her achievements include becoming track of the week on Switch Radio with her track ‘Songbird’ and being included on the soundtrack for an upcoming Indie film.
She’s been on the gigging circuit for 7 years, playing a mix of originals and covers, so it’s going to be extra special having Millie May perform only original music for us.

Playing their own brand of upbeat, riffy rock inspired by Kasabian, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Queens of the Stone Age, the band pride themselves on high energy performances, leaving audiences wanting more. The band’s distinctive sound comes from trademark crunchy guitars, catchy songs with lively, bouncy guitar melodies and sing-along chorus’s.
