Albert’s Shed Battle of the Bands is our search for the best original live acts from across the region.

During three live heats and a Grand Final, selected artists will perform in front of audiences and judges for the chance to win fantastic prizes, industry exposure and future performance opportunities.

Competion Voting Structure

  • Each heat uses audience voting plus one week of online voting.
  • Heat winners remain confidential until voting for Heat 3 closes.
  • All three finalists are announced together.
  • Online voting for the finalists opens for one week before the Grand Final.
  • At the Grand Final, audience voting (5 points per vote) is combined with online voting (1 point per vote) to determine the champion.

Battle of the Bands Prizes

The grand prize for the overall winning band includes:
  • Professional photo session for the winning band’s EPK.
  • Day in a recording studio to record a track.
  • Support slot at a future Albert’s Shed event.
All participating bands to be considered for a support slot at an Albert’s Shed venue in 2027. Deadline for applications is Monday 17th August 2026
