ALBERT’S SONGWRITERS SHOWCASE
Jay Weller Pritchard, the 16‑year‑old prodigy who’s already shared stages at Loopfest (Shrewsbury Castle) and even opened for Ian Brown of The Stone Roses in Coventry. Fresh off the release of his debut album My Guitar Dreams, Jay’s raw, honest songwriting will set the perfect tone for the evening.
Next, Humbooster John brings his high‑octane, late‑60s/early‑70s‑inspired rock to the shed. After years of fronting bands and a stint with The Humboosters in Bucks, John now performs solo with a clever blend of acoustic and electric guitars, looping bass lines (and a sitar on the way). Expect fast‑paced, riff‑driven anthems that’ll have you buzzing for the rest of the night.
Closing the show is CJ & The Storm from Birmingham – a three‑piece powerhouse delivering alternative rock that’s both fierce and emotive. With six singles under their belt (including a festive hit) and new material looming, they’ll bring the kind of high‑energy finish that leaves the crowd chanting for an encore.
Free entry, first act on stage at 8.30pm.
