SKANKt
SKANKt formed in 1999 playing support slots for bands such as the Selector, King Prawn and Bad Manners. The band took on headline shows and cemented a place in the thriving UK ska/punk scene of the noughties, playing at some of the UK’s top festivals – back when there only a few each year!
They relocated to Bristol and gigged for a while as Waiting for Kate, but in 2020 they added a new bassist and two more horn players. The now 7-piece has a new identity under the original band name.
SKANKt play post-ska rockmusic – what is it? Find out! With songs that are charged with energy and social commentary, SKANKt are the thinking human’s music.
